Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Business Management (L5DCBM)
The Level 5 Diploma in Computing (with Business Management) (L5DC BM) (previously the Level 5 Diploma in Business IT (L5DBIT)) makes up the second year of the NCC Education degree journey and builds upon the knowledge gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business Information Technology (L4DBIT). Students will be exposed to more advanced topics in a range of areas including information systems analysis, database development and the principles of business operations. Students will study a balance of academic and vocational subjects in order to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to play a significant role in IT and business organisations. On successful completion of the qualification, students will be able to complete the final year of a degree with the NCC Education Business Computing and Information Systems Top Up validated by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), the University of Greenwich Business Information Technology Top Up delivered at our Accredited Partner Centres, at one of the many universities that recognise NCC Education qualifications, or pursue a career in the IT industry.
DIGI Explorers Course 2
Digi Explorers introduces students to key concepts of digital citizenship and online safety. This means that candidates will gain the core skills and understanding of the online world which will allow them to become safe and responsible members of online communities.
Principle Of Accounting
This module provides students with the basic principles of accounting and application. Preparation of Trading and Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheets and Cash flow reports for sole traders and limited liability companies will be covered. The characteristics of cost behavior will also be examined in this module.
Principles Of Management
This module is designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of theory and practice of management, and some elements of the behavior of people in organizations. The objectives, roles, functions and various forms of business organization as adapt to a dynamic and changing environment will be covered. An in-depth understanding of the nature of the management process in action will be appreciated. This module also covered the application of the principles and theories of management to the actual practice as applied to the functional organization of business and the effective performance of those who work in it.
Network Management
This module takes on a strategic approach towards the network system administration and considers how large networks may be managed and improved efficiently. The material covered in this module prepares students to manage large networks according to appropriate IT governance procedures and to effectively lead system administrator teams.
Marketing
Marketing is the process of promoting, selling, and distributing a product or service. It involves understanding the needs and wants of consumers, creating products that satisfy those needs, and communicating the value of those products to the target audience.
IT Project management
The module focuses on Project management, the process of organizing the way that changes are implemented efficiently within an organization. Students will learn about project management. The project management centres on the planning and control of everything involved in delivering the end result - and it is a process that every person on a project team needs to embrace, understand and execute, no matter the experience level.
Information Management
This module provides students with an interesting blend of both information systems and data centre management concepts: • EDP auditing • Charge out concepts • End user computing • Security
Essentials Of Networking
This module equips the students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in computer network including networking systems and internet-working devices.
Cybersecurity
This module provides a broad overview of cybersecurity. It equips the students with knowledge of cybersecurity and skills in securing computer-based resources. The module covers the benefits and techniques of security controls and important related considerations.
Customer Relationship Management
The aim of this module is to provide students with a basic understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) theory and practice. Students attempting this module should have some knowledge of marketing fundamentals.
Application And Infrastructure Security
This lesson focuses on application security, digital security and network security. It includes discussion of various methods a host could be compromised from flawed programs or network design in the context of today's business environment. This module is aimed to introduce network infrastructure security threats which are prevalent in today’s business environment and applications of security features to secure IT infrastructure.
