Level 3 Diploma in Business (L3DB - Legacy)
The NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Business (L3DB) is regulated by Qualification Wales (QiW). It is an Applied General qualification which allows candidates to demonstrate key transferable study skills, mathematical competency and applied cultural understanding, particularly in the context of international business, as well as a grounding in the essential concepts of business and economics. In addition, successful candidates will fulfil the main entry requirements for NCC Education’s Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB) as well as opening up opportunities to access a range of higher education courses or employment. Examples of higher education opportunities include, but are not limited to, progressing to university degrees in Business Management, Marketing, International Business, Accounting and Finance and examples of employment opportunities include roles such as Accounts Clerk, Recruitment Consultant and Accounting Technician. The Level 3 Diploma in Business syllabus and assessment is suitable for students aged 16-19 as well as adult learners.
Level 3 Diploma in Computing (L3DC)
The Level 3 Diploma in Computing (L3DC), offered by NCC Education, is an Ofqual-regulated qualification designed to introduce students to the field of computing. Entry Requirements: • Academic Qualifications: Completion of GCSE/IGCSE 'O' Levels or an equivalent qualification with passes in four subjects, including Mathematics and English, at minimum grades of 'C' or '4'. • English Language Proficiency: A valid IELTS score of 5.5 or above, or an equivalent qualification, for non-native English speakers. Alternatively, students can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test administered by Accredited Partner Centres. The L3DC is suitable for students aged 16-19 as well as adult learners, providing a versatile foundation for those aiming to advance in the computing field.
Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES)
The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES), is a one-year pre-university qualification designed to equip students with essential skills in English language, mathematics, research, and study techniques. This program prepares students for direct entry into the first year of undergraduate degrees across various disciplines, including law, finance, engineering, and art, at internationally recognized universities. Key Features: • Comprehensive Curriculum: The diploma includes core units such as Developing English Language Skills, English for Academic Purposes, Mathematics for University Study, and Research and Study Skills for University Study. Elective units allow students to tailor their studies to specific academic interests, with options like Introductory Accounting, Introduction to Programming with Python, and Physics for University Study. • Flexible Study Options: Students can choose combinations of core and elective units totalling 120 credits, allowing for personalized learning pathways that align with their career aspirations and academic goals. • Global Recognition: The L3IFDHES is recognized by over 100 universities, branch campuses, business schools, and professional bodies in more than 20 countries, facilitating progression to undergraduate programs worldwide. Short Course in Computer Basics (SCCB)
Our Short Course in Computer Basics will provide students with an introduction to the key Computer Basics that will be required in their studies. Students will learn basic skills in using word processors, spreadsheets and presentation software. The module will focus on the Microsoft Office suite, with reference being made to Microsoft Office 2010 software throughout. However, the module has been specifically designed to allow the relevant skills to be taught regardless of the software version being used. All material can be adapted to other versions of Microsoft Office (such as the 2007 version) and also other word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software package; students should not be disadvantaged through the use of any particular version.
Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC)
The NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC) is an Ofqual regulated qualification. The qualification (with specialisms) makes up the second year of the NCC Education degree journey and builds upon the knowledge gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) or the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing with Business Management (L4DC BM), exposing students to greater detail and more advanced topics in a range of areas including database development, information systems analysis, network security and cryptography. Students will study a balance of academic and vocational subjects in order to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to play a significant role in IT organisations. On successful completion of the qualification students will be able to complete the final year of a degree with the NCC Education Business Computing and Information Systems Top Up validated by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), the University of Greenwich Computing Top-Up delivered at our Accredited Partner Centres, at one of the many universities that recognise NCC Education qualifications, or pursue a career in the IT industry.
Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC)
The NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) is an Ofqual regulated qualification. The qualification makes up the first year of a Computing/ IT degree pathway. The qualification is equivalent to the first year of an IT degree in the UK university system. Students will be given the opportunity to develop essential thinking and study skills, not only within the computing domain, but also within the context of business through a balance of academic and vocational subjects. The qualification will allow them to understand and enter the computing profession with the necessary knowledge expected within the industry and the ability to apply the skills to a range of IT-related functions. On successful completion of the qualification students will be able to embark on NCC Education’s Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC), which is equivalent to the second year of a UK Bachelor’s degree, transfer to a university or pursue a career in the IT industry. Approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) in England as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ).
